Introduction to Ski Touring

Want to leave those pistes behind and explore the mountains. Learn the key elements of ski touring such as use of skins and avalanche awareness. Aiming for you to leave the course with enough confidence to have a go yourself.


A sense of humour, keen to learn, experience off piste skiing and able to ski blue runs making short radius turns with confidence.

Multi Day Ski Touring

Have aspirations of one day doing the Haute route or just want a real adventure in the heart of the Scottish mountains? On this course we would spend each day on a classic touring route then curl up with a hot brew and a warm meal. Accommodation is dependent on conditions and the client’s aspirations.


A good level of hill fitness is required, due to carrying an overnight rucksack it is important that you are not only very confident skiing off piste blue/red runs in control, but is an experienced wild camper. At least 2 weeks ski experience required before hand.

Guided Ski Touring

Whether its peak bagging or classic tours we will be looking to make the most of the conditions. A fantastic course for someone who is a competent skier and who is looking to venture away from the resort. As this is a guided experience there will be less of an emphasis on coaching although you will get plenty of tips during the course.


Be able to ski red runs confidently and in control both on and off the piste. To make the most of this course good hill fitness is advantageous.

Guided Ski Mountaineering

This course aims to take the best bits of ski touring and mountaineering and combine them. Taking us along beautiful exposed ridges and up winding gullies to stunning views (weather permitting of course) topped off with a ski back down. This course is a guided experience so coaching will be in the form of hints and tips.

As with all our courses this is tailored to the client’s aspirations.


A good level of hill fitness, a competent ski tourer prior the course, be able to ski red/black runs in control as well as skiing off piste confidently. Ice axe and crampon skills are vital.
